Our under 14 boys over achieved this year by making it into the Top 4 tournament at their first attempt, we as a club are very proud of them. Although faced by a more experienced & stronger Drogheda Bullets early this morning, the never gave up the fight. In a game that was closer than perhaps some expected the team have certainly earned themselves the respect of many clubs in the league.
Drogheda Bullets went on to win the Top 4 tournament and we at East Cavan Eagles would like to congratulate very worthy winners. In the girls Under 14 Top 4 tournament Dunshaughlin Rockets won out.
Here are some pictures from our boys game.

Well it was a long day, but I hope very enjoyable for all who attended. We witnessed a great day of sport in the truest sense. All the boys & girls teams provided excellent entertainment and we would like to thank Dunshaughlin Rockets, Streete Warriors, Carrick Rockets, Drogheda Bullets,Liby Dynamites & Killinkere Basketball Club.
The day could not have happened without the referees and they did a such a great job you would hardly notice they were there, so a big thanks to Mick McGrath, John Smith, John Barry and John Eloku.
Killinkere Basketball Club were the worthy victors in a closely contested Under 18’s girls final against Liby Dynamites.
East Cavan Eagles emerged champions in the Under 18 boy’s final over a very well drilled Carrick Rockets.
Special mention must also go to the Brady family with both Sean & Ciara Brady been selected MVP in their respective competitions. Well done Sean & Ciara.
So here are the pictures.
